Janeallison is a Chicago based artist, designer and maker.
Interior architecture and design by day. Hand lettering, illustrating, painting and making by night.
As a person who loves to say "yes" to everything, art is a way for Jane to ground herself. She has always loved to explore different arts and crafts. However, she has always found herself coming back to her love of hand lettering and the built environment.
Jane has an inherent drive for humanitarian work and asking herself, "What can I do to help?" Jane moved to Chicago in 2016 after her 27 month Peace Corps service in Ghana, and she continues to seek out ways to continue to volunteer. Jane loves to use her skills and talents to support charitable organizations including The Humanity Share, an organization facilitating sustainable grassroots work in Kenya and Ethiopia, and previously (re)group, an architecture and design organization working in East Garfield Park.
